You’re right– the reflection in the water gives this photo an added dimension of symmetry that doesn’t usually stand out to me in photographs the way it does in this one.
The key question about your comment Brooklyn – what kind of symmetry? I hope you say asymmetrical because the rock in the water on the left adds more visual weight to that side of the reflection 🙂
I really love this photo because it looks so peaceful and calm, a place where you can take a book and read until you sleep. I also really like this photo because I’ve been here myself and it’s such a great place to go and take pictures. Yosemite is a great place to go with family. The reflection on the tree’s and rocks makes it look like the water is a mirrior, which is very neat. Good job!
Brooklyn, I really like the reflection of the trees on the water, it makes the photo very interesting. I can understand you when you said symmetry everywhere, cause I can see it too 🙂

I find it very interesting how it is dark in the front and gets lighter towards the back. I think that it is a very beautiful metaphor.

I really like the reflection that comes off the water in this photo. It immediately catches my eye.
I like the reflection of the rocks and the trees. I like how the rock is on the line created by the reflection.
