Beauty can be found in the most unexpected places. I grew up going to the baylands duck pond every day and going there again to take this photo brought up many great memories. I wanted to show the beauty I saw in my memories through this photo.
The sun glares surrounding the duck give him an aura of majesty and nobility on the murky water’s surface.
I think the composition is especially nice in this photo. The placement of the biggest goose in the center and all the other birds in the background is really interesting and aesthetic. The use of light in your photo is also beautiful, and the water’s texture provides an interesting background. Good work 🙂
As I look closer at this photo, I realize that light on the left side of the duck seems to radiate and glow. On the right side there are blue specks of light. The ducks in the background seem to frame the one duck in the front.
I enjoy that you were able to connect your photos with something from your childhood. I noticed the sun reflecting poff the water highlights the duck in the middle and the sun almost dances around the duck.
The light on the water is so amazing. And I love how the white duck stands out.
I love the role that light plays in this photo illuminating the water while at the same time not taking any focus away from the ducks.
