Daniel Hammerson, Palo Alto High School, Poás Volcano, Costa Rica
I took this photograph on a school trip to Costa Rica. It’s a picture of Poás Volcano in Costa Rica. When I keep looking at this photograph I notice new things and details I haven’t seen before.
What sort of new details do you notice? I notice little white flowers in the foreground, a nice contrast of life against the hot, dry stone.
I like the intensity of the photo, and yet the white vapor can calm the viewer.
