I remember thinking it was so entertaining to imitate statues when I was little. I think this just goes to show that appreciation of art is intrinsic to everyone, regardless of generation.
I love the transition between the child’s bright clothing and her boots and leggings, which are the same color as the statue. I can almost imagine that by planting herself firmly on the ground, she starts to become a monument, like the Rodins.
